会议背景
“汽车四化”的变革期，智能网联、新能源、轻量化、智能制造进入汽车工业领域，汽车时代被重新诠释。2017年，我国汽车销量达到2888万辆，连续九年蝉联全球第一，行业经济效益增速明显高于产销量，新能源汽车发展势头强劲，中国品牌市场份额继续提高，实现了国内、国际市场双增长。
同时未来汽车制造业将打破“同一级别的汽车越重越安全”这一传统观点。通过质量更小强度更大的新材料和零配件模块化促成汽车轻量化。车身变轻对于整车的燃油经济性、车辆控制稳定性、碰撞安全性都大有裨益;世界汽车协会报告指出，汽车重量每减少10%，燃油消耗可降低6%～8%，可见减轻汽车自重既可实现汽车节约能源，又可减少排放而满足环保要求，因此汽车轻量化是当代汽车工业发展的一个重要方向。
本届峰会将以“新技术、新材料、新工艺“为主题，旨在如何降低汽车自身重量同时还可以提高输出功率、降低噪声、提升操控性和安全性。并邀请了轻量化领域的国内外知名专家、学者，以及在轻量化领域的国内外整车厂、零部件企业、工艺材料设备企业、协会及检测等机构，将对汽车轻量化政策趋势发展、整车轻量化平台化设计方案、关键零部件轻量化技术开发及汽车轻量化多材料应用及成本控制分析等问题展开探讨。
