KCNJ5(potassium inwardly rectifying channel subfamily J member 5),癌症关联基因,基因ID:3762,该基因编码一个完整的膜蛋白,属于内向整流钾通道蛋白的7个亚家族中的一个,称为钾通道亚家族j。它是由G蛋白控制的,并且有更大的趋势允许钾流入细胞而不是流出细胞这种基因的自然突变与产生醛固酮的腺瘤有关。[由RefSeq提供,2017年8月]This gene encodes an integral membrane protein which belongs to one of seven subfamilies of inward-rectifier potassium channel proteins called potassium channel subfamily J. The encoded protein is a subunit of the potassium channel which is homotetrameric. It is controlled by G-proteins and has a greater tendency to allow potassium to flow into a cell rather than out of a cell. Naturally occurring mutations in this gene are associated with aldosterone-producing adenomas. [provided by RefSeq, Aug 2017]。
