粗壳华蜷,软体动物门-腹足纲-新进腹足目-短沟蜷科。Shell medium, solid, dark-brown. Apex eroded, left four to six whorls. Body whorl not inflated. Spiral lines crosses with axial ribs form checkerwork. Snout, neck, sides of foot and dorsal surfaces of tentacles yellowish in colour. Tentacles roughly equal with snout in length (in preserved specimens). Ovipositor pore on side of neck below right cephalic tentacle. The margin of mantle smooth.Operculum.Ovate, corneous, with approximately four or five whorls.Nucleus comprising less than one-third of total length.Radula.Central teeth with triangular major cusp and three or four conical denticles on each side.Rachidian broadly rectangular, wider than tall, with W-shape lower margin and single basal denticle at each lower, outer corner. Lateral teeth with single, prominent squarish cusp flanked by three small cusps. Inner marginal with four and outer marginal teeth with five denticles.Midgut.Midgut consistenting with H. aubryana, glandular pad curving to right.
