Mr. Yi Liming, Chinese national first rank stage art designer and theatre director of Beijing People’s Art Theatre.
作为舞美设计曾为近200多台包括歌剧、舞剧、话剧、戏曲等国内外重要戏剧演出设计舞台布景和灯光。设计作品多次获得文化部文华奖、五个一优秀作品奖，精品工程奖，中央戏剧学院学院奖以及北京市政府颁发的优秀创作奖。
As a designer, Mr. Yi has worked on set design and lighting design for nearly 200 important theatre performances home and abroad which cover opera, dance, drama and traditional Chinese opera. His design works has won many awards including Wenhua Award by Chinese Ministry of Culture, Excellent Work Award by Five One Project, Quality Work Award, Academy Award by the Central Academy of Drama as well as Outstanding Creation Award by the municipal government of Beijing.
1995年开始国际委约设计，委约机构包括比利时布鲁赛尔艺术节，英国伦敦国际戏剧节、法国巴黎秋季艺术节、美国林肯中心艺术节、美国SPOLETO艺术节在内的十多个国际著名艺术节及日本新国立剧场、美国国家剧目轮演剧院等国际知名剧院。
Starting from 1995, Mr. Yi Liming became International commissioned designer. He has been commissioned by more than a dozen renowned international festivals including Brussels Art Festival in Belgium, London International Theatre Festival UK, Paris Autumn Festival France, Lincoln Center Festival in USA and SPOLETO Festival USA. In addition, Mr. Yi was also commissioned by the New National Theatre of Japan and USA National Drama Repertory Theatre.
2002年受邀美国哈佛大学访问学者在美国剑桥做舞台设计及学术交流。
In 2002, as a visiting scholar, Yi was invited by Harvard University for stage design and academic exchange in Cambridge.
2008年发起成立故事新编剧团，导演了包括《故事新编》《茶馆》《哈姆雷特》《雷雨》《说客》《门客》《大将军寇流兰》《悲悼三部曲》等在内的一批国内外名剧。其中《故事新编》在2002的柏林艺术节首演，与林兆华导演合排的《大将军寇流兰》受邀参演2013年度的英国爱丁堡国际戏剧节。
In 2008, Mr. Yi Liming initiated the establishment of the Old Tales Retold Theater Company and directed a good number of well-known domestic and international drama including Old Tales Retold, Tea House , Hamlet, Thunderstorm, The Lobbyist, The Orphan of Zhao, Coriolanus and Mourning Becomes Electra. Among these theatrical works, Old Tales Retold was premiered in Berlin Festival in 2002. Coriolanus which was co-directed by Mr. Lin Zhaohua was invited and staged at Edinburgh International Festival in 2013.
2013年在天津大剧院导演了匈牙利现代作曲家贝拉•巴托克作曲的歌剧《蓝胡子公爵城堡》和伊戈尔•斯特拉文斯基作曲的歌剧《俄狄浦斯王》首开现代西方歌剧在中国舞台演出先河。同年还受约在天津歌剧院导演了威尔第的歌剧《茶花女》，2014年受邀在中国国家大剧院导演了郭文景作曲的原创歌剧《骆驼祥子》，同年受邀导演第二十六届上海国际艺术节开幕歌剧《一江春水》，并为在北京召开的第23届APEC会议设计开幕式晚宴剧场。
In 2013, Mr. Yi directed in Tianjin Grand Theatre the Hungarian composer Bela Bartok's opera Duke Bluebeard's Castle and Igor Stravinsky’s opera Oedipus Rex. It marked the first performance of modern Western opera in China’s theatrical precedent. In the same year, Mr. Yi was commissioned by Tianjin Opera and Dance Theatre to direct the opera La Traviata by Verdi. In 2014, Mr. Yi was invited by National Centre for the Performing Arts to direct the original opera piece The Rickshaw Boy composed by Mr. Guo Wenjing.

易立明导演2014版《茶花凋零录》
民国初年，天津租界，商贾政要、文化名流汇集，博彩馆舍、青楼舞场林立，华洋杂居，歌舞升平。每晚华灯初上，衣香鬓影，人头攒动，轻歌曼舞，往往通宵宴饮。
当红歌女魏澜丽常在其间出没，翩若惊鸿，婉若游龙，绝色倾城，众人垂涎，因她甚爱茶花，常佩于胸，人称茶花女。富家子弟纪雷德对她一见倾心，一往情深，魏澜丽感念其真心，为他抛弃虚华，倾己所有，二人在郊外隐居，以期相守白头。
纪雷德之父不期而至，使二人鸳梦破碎。受纪父之托，魏澜丽忍痛割爱斩断情缘，却为离愁惹得重病缠身，孤零零只盼与纪雷德再见一面。
怎奈香消玉殒，物是人非。
是为《茶花凋零录》。
